About this website. This site was created to help UK families and au pairs connect with each other and with the world, without paying agency fees or receiving an agency service.

Services. This website operates as a community forum, where every user assumes responsibility for all of their own communications and representations. We make no warranties and accept no liability or responsibility with regard to any families or au pairs eligibility, suitability, identity, health, financial status, background (references, criminal check, qualification check etc.) or other factors that could be considered material to any transaction. All parties should independently confirm and verify all representations made.

Hiring an au pair.  Families and au pairs are able to contract directly in accordance with the prevailing laws in the applicable country or countries. Families and au pairs are advised to seek professional advice with regards to processes such as (but not limited to) immigration, insurance and employment law.

Charges. Only premium registration users pay a fee. No fees are charged for a successful introduction. Families seeking an au pair only pay to advertise their vacancy and to contact prospective au pairs. Au pairs only pay a disbursement fee for unlimited email access and the hosting of a video message.

Costs. Although introductions made via this website do not incur agency fees there will be other costs associated with the hiring of an au pair. We do not recommend that any monies or items of value are provided to the au pair before employment commences. For example, the au pair’s airfare should be reimbursed on arrival. Families should not provide air tickets or pay in advance. Do not leave yourself open to a scam. If you are the victim of a scam, please inform the police and provide us with the case number. We will delete the offender’s registration, whether they are a family or an au pair.

Au pairs Agency. Having located an au pair, you may still want to use an agency to provide support with visas and background checks. There are a list of agencies on the websites of the IAPA (international) and BAPAA (UK) websites.

Cancellation of registration. At our absolute discretion we may cancel the registration of any family or au pair, without providing a reason or a refund. In using this website you agree to accept our decision in this matter.

Refunds. You may cancel your premium registration up to 14 days after the date on which you submit payment and receive a refund, as long as you haven't used our service. Once you have accessed any au pair or family profile or a message from an au pair, our premium service is deemed to be provided completely.
